City and country, plains and mountains, fields and forests, fertile valleys, bone dry deserts - this was the domain of the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul & Pacific Railroad. The compay had a great history, beginning with the first run of predecessor road Milwaukee & Mississippi Railway. Its store ended sadly. Most of the far-flung system was abandonded, the remaining assets were sold to Soo Line Coporation on February 19, 1985.
